As a traditional leader in the tablet computer market, in the second quarter of 2020, Apple still maintained its own market position. In the quarter, Apple shipped 14.249 million units, making it the only brand with shipments exceeding 10 million. , An increase of 19.8% year-on-year, but the market share fell from 40% in the same period in 2019 to 38%, but Apple's position as the number one in the market remains stable. Unlike Android and Windows tablet computers, Apple’s iPad has always been developed for office and entertainment. At present, most iPad models can use an external keyboard, which is very popular among users.

Samsung

Following Apple is Samsung, which shipped 7.024 million units in the second quarter of 2020, an increase of 39.2% year-on-year in the second quarter of 2019, and its market share rose from 17% in the same period in 2019 to 18.7%. Because the iPad market share has declined, Samsung’s tablet market share has increased. In the case of remote work and learning equipment, the sales of Samsung’s tablets have been boosted. There are different gains in the detachable and pure tablet markets. Samsung Tablet PC sales and share achieved double growth, becoming one of the biggest winners.

Huawei

Huawei ranked third with shipments of 4.77 million units and a market share of 12.7%. Compared to the 3.3 million units shipped in the same period in 2019 and 11.1% of the market share, the most important thing is that Huawei's tablet shipments increased by 44.5% year-on-year, second only to Lenovo among all brands. At present, Huawei tablet has M series and Honor series, and also launched the high-end version of Huawei Mate Pad Pro, coupled with Huawei's world's first 5G tablet-Mate Pad Pro 5G, so it can be said to be very eye-catching in the entire market.

Amazon

In the second quarter, Amazon ranked fourth, with shipments of 3.164 million, and a market share of 8.4%. Compared with the data of the same period in 2019, Amazon increased its shipments by 37.1% year-on-year. The hardware product that Chinese users have the deepest impression of Amazon is Kindle, but in fact Amazon has also entered the tablet computer market, currently mainly targeting low-end low-end tablet computers.

Lenovo

As another Chinese brand in the TOP5, Lenovo shipped 2.81 million units in the second quarter, an increase of 52.9% from the 1.838 million units in the second quarter of 2019. It is the brand with the largest increase in market share among all brands. From 6.2% last year to 7.5%. As a giant in the PC computer industry, Lenovo has been deeply involved in the tablet computer market for many years. Although its influence in the tablet computer market is far less than in the PC market, it has also maintained a good shipment ranking.
